Although Adobe’s Photoshop is one of the best image editors out there, there are so many other ways to have great looking pictures for free. When you’re first getting started with your blog or business, the last thing you want to do is spend loads of money on expensive software. Here’s a list of five of the best image editing tools that you can use for free!

GIMP

GIMP is hands down one of the best tools for editing images online. Not only is it absolutely amazing for retouching, you can also use it to draw and create graphics of your own. Just like Photoshop, you’ll be able to download and use it on your computer.

Fotor

Fotor is an online editor that is great for doing quick edits to pictures. It has good filter options, and you can adjust things like the contrast, size, colour and sharpness of an image. The interface is very simple and the software is generally easy to use, so it’s great if you’re not a techy person.

PhotoScape

PhotoScape is a very useful piece of software that is super simple and easy to use. It can be used for standard editing including cropping and scaling, however you can also use it to make gifs. In addition to this, it comes in very handy if you need to convert images from RAW to JPEG. You can download it here.

Pixlr

Pixlr is an advanced editor that is one of the most popular on the web. One of the best things about this editor is that it has loads of the features that you would normally only find on desktop applications.

Photoshop Express

Photoshop Express has some of the functionality of Photoshop without the large cost. You can use it to crop images, remove blemishes and much more. The best thing about it? It’s available as an app on both android and IOS so you can use it on the go!
